Analyze/Generally when we talk about health care we think directly of health establishments while Men or each potential patient has the responsibility, not to say the obligation, to take care of himself on a daily basis despite the difficulties. Indeed, if taking care of yourself involves going to a health facility to be consulted or administered care, each human being has the ability to prevent certain ailments from taking very worrying or even irremediable turns.
Human life is a series of circumstances that impose choices that should not be taken lightly. What do I like and what do I not like? What is good for me and what is not? Always weigh between the pros and cons so as not only to settle for what is good but what is best for ourselves because our health depends on it.
Well-being and daily balance
Balance is not only required when it comes to ration or diet. Living well means managing your life well. It means adopting a set of preventive measures to avoid contracting diseases that are not incurable but can be avoided thanks to respecting certain rules of conduct allowing a balance in all areas of human life. In fact, life is a constant search for this balance so as not to contract what experts call mental illnesses which are only the consequence of the failure to maintain a balance necessary on a daily basis to ensure Men has a peaceful daily life despite the upheavals of everyday life.
According to experts, there is a difference between mental health and mental illness. Our daily experiences exposes us to multiple circumstances that can have a bad impact on our health. “Mental health is an essential component of health and represents much more than the absence of mental disorders or disabilities. According to the World Health Organization, it is a state of well-being that enables everyone to realize their potential, to cope with the normal difficulties of life, to work successfully and productively, and to be able to make a contribution to the community. »
Mentality is linked to morality. It is a predisposition to do what is good for ourselves and for others. It is a set of habits that involves daily life discipline. Taking care of one's mental health means taking actions in accordance with our reason and doing everything possible so that the imbalances which could arise following the announcement of an unfortunate event, for example, do not compromise this health or good internal disposition to the point of becoming an illness.
Mental illness
Mental illness begins when the imbalance between physical, mental and social well-being becomes extremely serious to the point where the subject no longer adapts to reality, that is to say, he is no longer in control of himself but of several abnormal attitudes of which he himself may be aware or not depending on the stage of the illness. A Schizophrenic, for example, can no longer differentiate between reality and his own perception of events. Panic disorder is an illness caused by the fear of experiencing other stressful circumstances. If fear can sometimes prove to be a measure of self-protection, in this case the subject lives in constant fear of an unexpected misfortune because of a traumatic past event which has nothing to do with the caution that is found in the fear of acting flippantly or irresponsibly. But all mental illnesses are curable. And even if recovery is possible, we must not lose sight of the fact that mental health, mental disorders and mental illnesses are a continuum. Due to the circumstances of life anyone can go from a mental health problem linked for example to a landscape infested with plastic waste, a social, political or economic crisis, a pandemic and others, to mental illness.
Everyone is at risk of developing mental disorders and even mental illness. To live well you must take care of yourself and in particular your mental health so as not to develop mental disorders which could seriously compromise this health which we are called to preserve despite the ups and downs of daily life which are part of life and which require resistance measures and assumed choices which sometimes involve consequences that we must be ready to manage appropriately so as not to give way to mental illnesses.
