They are scary and of an almost inestimable number. Even if the experts agree that there are a hundred in addition to a multitude of other sub-categories, it is not easy to give an exact value.

Considered one of the main causes of mortality in the world, in particular due to one death in six cases according to a report by the World Health Organization (WHO) dating from 2020, cancers are silent killers that spare no one layer of society.

No one is safe from these devastating winds with multiple faces that continue to shake the existence of men. According to nutritional health experts, they are partly due to our poor eating habits. This is one of the reasons why it is recommended to eat organic; that is to say, natural; a preference itself that has become doubtful with the misuse of pesticides dangerous to human health, the genetic modification of organisms and other prohibited products used in particular to hasten the maturation of certain market garden products. The best way to be sure to eat organic would be to grow your own food, or have your own small vegetable garden at home. Everything is counterfeit. Basic necessities or mass consumption products accessible at lower cost, up to the most expensive that only a certain category of the population can obtain at a specific time or not; most often, the consumer realizes the dangerousness of a product only when he is already sick, or when the harmful effects of a carcinogenic substance that he has ingested by consuming a denatured food, are already perceptible on his body.

Because of his ignorance, the consumer can become one of the unfortunate victims of mafia networks of counterfeiting; an illegal activity that promotes corruption, and the proliferation of lethal products. Another cause of the development of cancers would be the neglect of certain warning signs. It would be easier to treat an ailment at a primary stage rather than at a more advanced one. This reason justifies awareness-raising movements aimed in particular at informing the public about the actions to be taken or the behaviours to be adopted on a daily basis, the habits to be avoided or banned, and the activities to be practiced permanently as a prevention measure. A retrospective study conducted from 2012 to 2013 on a Moroccan population revealed that the reasons for the rise in the morbidity rate of cancers in Africa in particular, would be in 40% of cases due to late diagnosis, which itself would be the consequence lack of financial mean necessary for a medical consultation; in 23% of cases to the remoteness of health facilities; socio-cultural habits with traditional first-line treatments would correspond to 20% of cases, and insufficient therapeutic treatments to 7% of cases (source: National Library of Medicine). But of all these factors which do not promote adequate care, namely the factors ignorance, money, remoteness, and socio-cultural, the money factor is the most problematic because, we need money to inform, raise awareness and bring people out of ignorance. We need it to erect specialized centres nearby, to carry out consultations and to carry out free or low-cost treatments in Africa particularly because the treatments are long and very expensive. Those who do not have, or do not have enough means, sometimes find themselves abandoned to their own fate. And even if having the necessary financial resources does not always guarantee a cure, this does not detract from the need for universal health coverage or medical health coverage so that the fact of contracting or suffering from cancer or any other disease that arouses fear is not, or never again considered as a synonym of death, or a death sentence. Each individual must have the right to benefit from quality health care regardless of the ailment from which he suffers or the condition in which he finds himself. If this is what people have the right to expect or demand from their governments, they also have a duty to denounce questionable products, control their diet, favour quality food as much as possible, refuse to adopt preventive options that divide the experts, to practice a healthy physical activity, and not let themselves be defeated whatever the circumstances because, it is not cancers that we have to be afraid of, but influence that we allow them to have over us through our reactions and actions which are sometimes even more dangerous.
