There is nothing more awful than Men of God who behave like odious men, we would be told. The observation is so appalling that some have been led to doubt the real presence of God within a prestigious institution which, according to them, has demonstrated an unspeakable degree of wickedness.
Millions of children have been sexually abused by Men of God and we never mention it enough, also by lay people, that is to say, Catholic Christians with responsibilities in the Church. No continent is spared. In all countries of the world, Men of God have abused the divine authority given to them to commit atrocities. Secrets long buried in the darkest corners of an Institution have finally surfaced to the great joy of millions of victims who have been forever marked by the abuse they suffered.
Restoration time
In societies where much is expected of Men of God there is no excuse. Those responsible must be held accountable for their actions. The good news took a while but it finally arrived. Victims kept captive for a long time by horrible acts began to see the end of the tunnel after serious investigations carried out by serious professionals.
Thanks to the help of several actors and in particular the courage of the victims, the truth ended up triumphing. The voice of the victims began to be listened to. What was considered a taboo was finally broken by serious, unassailable and indisputable informations. Those who doubted the real resurrection of Christ, began from those days to have tangible proof of His resurrection.
These macabre acts prompted several Catholic Christians to leave the Church. Indeed, who would not leave the Church after the disclosure of such information’s? Who wouldn't try to distance themselves? Who would not try to insult the Church? After all, isn’t that what She deserves? She spent Her time acting like there was nothing because She had dark things to hide. She deserves to be left, to be pursued, and for the Churches where such abominations were committed to be closed. But…
Who to blame and repress?
Even if the CHURCH has done and continues for some to cause Catholic Christians in particular to be ashamed in the eyes of the world in particular because of these morbid acts, it is not She who must be blamed but rather the men who represent Her. We cannot and must not rely on such horrors or morbid acts to insult an Institution established by Christ. The Church is Holy and She has in her midst unhealthy individuals who also aspire to holiness. This is not about finding excuses or granting extenuating circumstances to anyone. It is simply a matter of showing that as a Church or body of Christ, responsibility is collective and even universal because it is not only priests and lay people who sexually abused children. It is an entire community of saints is guilty and must continue to take responsibility in the name of Jesus.

The trials of life should not distance children from their Father but be an opportunity for them to remain even closer to Him by having a pious thought for those among them who have experienced atrocities which have negatively marked their lives. Some have lost confidence in God. Others no longer even attend churches. The most courageous and perhaps by divine grace were welcomed into other Churches and found there, in their words, “the Lord Jesus”.
Abominable acts deserve their wages. Sectarian excesses deserve their salaries. Pederasty deserves its pay. The exploitation of the naivety of others for perverse purposes deserves its reward. Influence peddling deserves its pay. The criminal association deserves its salary. They all deserve their salary but it is especially within the Church that they can be resolved more effectively. The reality is hateful, but we must not abandon the Church. We must always contribute to helping the Church to recover.
The praise of serious work
The media coverage of such atrocities after several decades of silence is an opportunity to praise a job well done. In a world where men are looking for scoops without worrying about the lives of others or quite simply to harm others, there are really works that can be described as holy, because they have not only perhaps without being conscious of it having an evangelizing scope, but also because they only aim to report reality through information resulting from very rigorous work.
Who other than an individual in bad faith would dare to say that there have not always been acts of paedophilia within the Church? Only brainless and even indoctrinated Christians can afford to question such information. The Church, through some of its representatives, has destroyed the lives of millions of children around the world or rather on all continents. It's not a fantasy. It is a reality that even the Church, thanks to Its multiple means of dissuasion, has not been able to eternally deny in the name of the risen Jesus. His attempts at diversion in order to try to hide the truth certainly allowed Her to gain time but above all not to dissipate the affair and even less to contradict the facts. They held out as long as they could but the Church finally made the choice to assume its responsibilities and will do so whenever the need arises; it is one of the palpable testimonies that Christ is truly resurrected, that He reigns there through His Holy Spirit, and that He will always remain there. We must therefore not tire of assuming our choice to be a Catholic Christian.
