Analyze/ Easy criticism of what constitutes an obstacle to improving the living conditions of populations is commonplace within a public opinion which is certain that real men are not always in the right place or quite simply that the whole system is rotten. In fact, when we see men dishonouring the profession they exercise through pitiful service, and others seriously threatened when they choose to act honestly, we have the weakness to think that the systems are corrupted from within by individuals more concerned with satisfying their selfishness rather than satisfying their country through the quality of service that they are truly called to offer to their fellow human beings.

If we cannot blame a Men for wanting to improve his living conditions through what he does as a profession or activity, we especially cannot condone it being done with great disregard for the existence of others or goods that belong to an entire country. Some will say it is because you are not in these positions of responsibility that you make such statements. According to them, not being there does not allow us to understand those who act in this way. But it's not about that. Not everyone can be everywhere at the same time. If the other is where he is, this assumes that he is called to serve his country as it should.

It is not a question of comparing one's condition to that of others. It's about doing well what you have to do where you are. Why in other sectors of activity do employees and their employers not behave like bandits? We might say is because they are not next to money or juicy privileges or advantages given by certain post of responsibilities. But there are some who, in the exercise of their functions, do not give in to the temptation of taking what does not belong to them because they have learned to be satisfied with their salaries.

Corruption and embezzlement: a global phenomenon

Even if we can note acts of corruption and embezzlement in all parts of the globe, they do not have the magnitude that we know of them particularly in other skies.

To satisfy oneself at the expense of the State is to make the choice to satisfy one's selfishness or rather to satisfy them in a disproportionate way because common sense would dictate that one pleases oneself according to one's means from time to time without however encroaching on what belongs to others.

Those who are masters in the art of embezzlement, abuse of power and other enormities are found particularly in poor countries. This means that the poorer the country, the greater the probability of allowing itself to do the wrong thing to the point where some consider themselves untouchable individuals above the law and even certain institutions. But as no one is ever strong enough to always remain the strongest, the reality of the facts always ends up having the upper hand over the power of money and morbid shenanigans.

The solution to this problem, which results from excessive selfishness, is certainly found in the Devise of each country. In Cameroon it is: peace-work-fatherland. First of all, work for peace without which nothing is possible, then work to contribute to growth and development, especially not without patriotic duty without which we cannot put the interests of the country above of ours. Obviously it is not a question of satisfying the country and satisfying ourselves afterwards in an illegal manner but rather of being satisfied with our pay, demanding a better salary increase when necessary and not taking what is not ours right or take it unlawfully.

Putting one's selfish interests before those of the State means choosing to satisfy one's selfishness. This is the consequence of no longer being able to differentiate between what is permitted and what is forbidden or what we prefer to do when we are well and truly aware of what to do but We still prefer to do it because we want to imitate those who have done it and have not been punished or to always have what we desire without respecting the rules.

There is not choice to make between serving your country and serving yourself. Serving your country is an obligation for all those who assume, through the good quality of their actions that they are full citizens. It is by serving your country that you receive your fair salary, which you must be satisfied with, without depriving yourself of expressing your discontent in a legal manner through strike action for example, and not by taking what is not rightfully ours to satisfy scandalous desires.
