Devotion

Parsley 2689046 1280

The disposition to do good is a free gift from God available to all who want to be builders of love. Everything that is done with devotion contributes greatly to the advent of a reign that breaks down the boundaries of divisions erected between men, by men.

Just as the usefulness of an act is measured by the love that the person who performed it has for those towards whom he manifested it, the progression of the gospel of salvation is inseparable from love of neighbour. "If someone thinks he is in the light when he has hatred for his brother, he has not yet come out of the darkness."

Do good and avoid evil

It would be too simplistic and even wrong to think that to do good is to be nice to everyone, and to do bad is to be mean to everyone. Knowing that good refers to all that is good and evil to all that is bad is not enough. Men has the ability to say what he does not mean. He is able to say blessing when his heart invokes the opposite. But the most important thing is not to be so conscious that you allow yourself to be negatively influenced by this harsh reality of existence. The most important thing is to know that to do good you must not just limit yourself to the action of doing. We must really have at heart to do good to benefit from all the graces that the Lord has reserved for us through this good.

Charity is a gratuitous act which produces additional fruits in the life of the “donors” and that of the “beneficiaries”. You should not make a donation because you have seen other people do it. We have to donate because we want to call down the blessings of God on others. One who gives must be true to himself because if he acts against his conscience, he will be doing evil and avoiding good.

The choice of the good and the perseverance in the way of the good.

By being aware that we do not have the monopoly of the truth, we learn to have confidence in the one who is the only one capable of perfecting each Men. There is therefore always at the start the virtue of wisdom which leads man to trust in God, then the perseverance which, thanks to the humility that trust in God generates, finally allows men to remain in good morals.
