Just as complementarity is required in a world where the other represents wealth, the prosperity of a country is conditioned by a permanent investment of each of its citizens. Growth, development and good governance are only possible through sincere dedication of each component of the whole. But the resurgence of hate speech leads us to question the notion of patriotism in Cameroon. Do Cameroonians really love their country?
If the answer to this question would certainly be yes because no one in fact wants the worst for their country and even less for it to have a bad image on the international scene, to be patriotic is to put oneself at the service of one's country through the quality service that we provide to others, and not enslave them or make them experience an ordeal out of pure greed or by illicitly enjoying a set of goods that do not belong to us.
Saying nothing bad about your country does not mean remaining speechless when the reality is sickening. Perhaps we should be offended by the fact that some interventions on digital platforms are often passionate to the point of lacking decency and respect towards certain high-ranking personalities in particular, but the disproportionate nature of certain interventions is justified by the unpleasant nature acts committed by certain individuals.
Hate speech reflects the reality of a society in decadence in all areas. And since we must live at the rhythm of our times, that is to say by using the means that technological development offers to Men in order to respond more effectively to His duty as patriots which includes numerous efforts denunciation and vigilance or open-mindedness, we must above all not deprive ourselves of these benefits of modernization in order to combat with the utmost energy what creates and accentuates points of discord between compatriots, while taking care to avoid as much as possible unfortunately rudeness which could earn us reprimands.
Even if the development of social networks promotes freedom of expression, what is permissible has limits. We must therefore act knowingly so as not to be surprised by the consequences that could occur because patriotic acts, however passionate they may be, have limits that must not be crossed which vary depending on the country and context.

A patriot is one who seeks change through legal means. Someone who seeks to improve the living conditions of others. The one who encourages his fellow citizens to put down their weapons, come out of the bush, register on electoral lists and express their rights as citizens rather than insulting institutions on social networks. He is the one who knows how to be resilient but who must not accept just anything.
Being a patriot means knowing how to sacrifice yourself for your country. It is not necessarily a question of shedding one's blood for the love of the country. It's about doing what you have to do well. It is about denouncing what tarnishes the image of the republic. It is about promoting and defending patriotic values on a daily basis, namely: fighting corruption, encouraging work well done, combating influence peddling, abuse of power, trivialization of institutions, and acts of vandalism among many others.
Being patriotic means knowing your rights and defending them. It means demanding better working conditions to be able to provide a quality service and not lack motivation in the exercise of one's work because of poor support which seems eternise workers in precariousness and expose them to corruption and embezzlement.
Every citizen must do what they have to do well regardless of where they are. No one is more responsible for their country than another. Even if acts can be individual or isolated, responsibility must always be collective. In fact, each act must contribute to the good of the whole. For example, we cannot talk about peace or seek peace without doing violence to ourselves. How can we talk about peace when it is threatened by embezzlement, corruption and multiple forms of abuse of power?
Service without love is no service. Anyone who is not proud to advocate for good through the activity he carries out is of no use to his country. True patriots do not allow themselves to be distracted by scabrous attitudes that would make them believe that the best way to succeed would be to allow illicit acts to flourish or to play the game of who is the most dishonest.
A patriot is one who does not allow himself to be diverted by twisted minds into doing what is wrong but who does his work with love and who himself campaigns so that the bad attitudes which are decried and which continue to proliferate cease to continue.
